The Seizure Recognition and First Aid Certification (On-Demand) course formally educates the public on the Epilepsy Foundation’s approved procedures for recognizing seizures and responding to someone having a seizure.
This course aims to increase the knowledge, skill, and confidence in applying seizure first aid. This information is presented in an interactive eLearning format with animations, videos, and activities to enhance the learning experience.
This course was designed for direct training of the public. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a two-year certification.
While everyone should know basic seizure first aid, becoming Seizure First Aid Certified takes you further. You will learn how to recognize signs of a seizure and how to use the basic first aid steps in different settings, for different seizure types and when medical help may be needed.

To start the course, view the course instructions. this course requires completion of the pre-assessment before gaining access to the interactive modules. The modules take about 75 minutes to complete. The modules, assessments, and course evaluation must be completed to successfully complete this training and become seizure first aid certified.

Seizure Recognition and First Aid Certification (Instructor -Led)
Upon completing the course, you must complete the online post-assessment and evaluation to receive a certificate of completion. The post-assessment consists of several multiple-choice questions.
